I was a little ashamed to admit I was reading a book about Sarah Palin. Like all things Palin, I expected more drama than policy, and to that end, this book did not disappointed. But Sarah from Alaska showed me Palin the governor, before the campaign trail and her popularity with culture warriors. It revealed a conservative woman who reached across the isle to accomplish big things for Alaska. Someone I may have voted for even. As for the narrative, it’s mostly bare bones reporting, but that makes for a quick read. I’m glad I dedicated a day or two to get to know Sarah from Alaska.
