The situation unfolding at Penn State disgusts me on more than just the obvious level. Most everyone I know finds it despicable when the rape of adolescents is kept quiet. But that attitude seems to change the closer you get to PSU campus. In fact, students are actually rioting in favor of Coach Joe Paterno. Overturning trucks and tearing down lamp posts, general hoodlum behavior because their beloved coach covered up one teeny tiny raping of a ten year old boy.

I can understand loving someone and feeling conflicted about an uncovered scandal, but rage? Rioting? You brats need to recognize a crucial fact here. ANYONE who puts the security of a university’s reputation before that of a ten-year-old boy should be fired. In fact, I’m going to go so far as to say they should be set on fire, because obviously they can live with a heavy secret like that in defense of their Alma madder.

On the upside, Ashton Kucher admitted to his tiny gaff on Twitter, and I commend him for that. So... we’re cool.
